Director Gunasekhar is helming a film titled 'Euphoria', whose Glimpse video is out. Producer Dil Raju and industry elder Damodar Prasad were present at the launch event.
The video opens with a strikingly trippy moment: a girl, high on drugs, stumbles into the metro. As she crawls through the station, the visuals are strange, foreshadowing the intense journey that lies ahead. The glimpse quickly immerses viewers in the electric energy of youth, showcasing wild parties, college life, and vibrant nightlife. The tone abruptly shifts when the focus turns to a crime investigation, revealing a girl as a rape victim. Towards the end, we see a dejected woman (played by Bhumika Chawla, the star heroine of the 2000s) downing shots of alcohol.
The film from the 'Okkadu' director seems to raise its voice against the deterioration of culture in the name of freedom. Student protests against the rape culture reflect the politics of 'Euphoria'.
Sara Arjun, Nassar, Rohith, Vignesh Gavireddy, Likhita Yalamanchali, Addala Prudhviraj, Kalpa Latha, Sai Srinika Reddy, Ashrita Vemuganti, Mathew Varghese, Aadarsh Balakrishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveena Reddy, Likith Naidu, and others will be seen in this film with music by Kaala Bhairava.
'Euphoria' will head to theatres in 2025.
