Ananya Nagalla of 'Vakeel Saab' fame has vehemently denied the narrative that the Telugu film industry practices casting couch quite routinely.
During a press meet on Friday, the actress was asked about producers allegedly brazening it out by including a clause that allegedly coerces female actors to agree to give "commitment" (a code word for sexual favours).
Ananya shot back saying, "How can you be so sure of this? Without actually experiencing such a thing, don't jump the gun. Speaking for myself, I have never faced anything like casting couch."
Ananya Nagalla awaits the release of 'Pottel' on October 25. The film, co-starring Ajay and others, is a period rural action drama. The actress is playing a non-glamorous role in the movie. "I am open to doing glam roles. It's not like I have made a conscious choice to do only message films like 'Mallesham' and 'Pottel'," she added.
