The teaser of Nani's HIT 3 is out. The film, directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu, seems to rely excessively on violence. The bloodshed and cruelty on display is grating to the point where it starts looking strange rather than impactful. Rather than using brutality to serve a deeper narrative or provoke thought, the teaser indulges in uninspired torture porn that lacks originality.
The film, a crime investigative thriller, appears to be heavily influenced by successful Indian movies like Vikram and Jailer, imitating their aesthetics without offering anything fresh.
Nani plays Arjun Sarkaar, who wields his Laathi in the most violent ways possible. But is this all about him? Or, does he have a secret past?
Set to hit the cinemas on May 1, the franchise movie is produced by Prashanti Tipirneni on Wall Poster Cinema. Unanimous Productions is also associated with the project. With music by Mickey J Meyer, its cinematography is by Sanu John Varghese. Edited by Karthika Srinivas, the film has production design by Sri Nagendra Tangala.
