In 2023, after the theatrical release of Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar, netizens asked Meher Ramesh to retire. The Shakti and Kantri maker was told to save Tollywood by voluntarily giving up on directing movies.
But guess what, the director has made a fresh statement on his next big dream. And the dream has nightmare-like features. In his latest interview, the Shadow director stated that he will certainly team up with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. "I will definitely be making a movie headlined by him," Meher Ramesh said.
Vedalam (Tamil) was supposed to be remade with Pawan Kalyan as the hero. The project got shelved in 2016. Later, Chiranjeevi took on the same subject. It was remade as Bholaa Shankar with him.
Fortunately, Pawan Kalyan's calendar is busy. He has yet to complete Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Political commitments and governance work are going to keep him busy for the next few years. So, Meher Ramesh's wait will continue.
