The audience have increasingly preferred to watch movies in Multiplexes over the years. This has to do with the high-grade experience Multiplexes offer vis-a-vis single screens.
In his latest interview, producer S Naga Vamsi hit out at those who hypocritically bat for single screens while investing in Multiplex properties at will. "Asian Group's Suniel Narang has been building new Multiplex properties. His single screens are not well-maintained. If he and others maintain single screen theatres sincerely, the audience would definitely patronise them," Naga Vamsi said.
Someone had to say this. Most single screens offer sub-par movie-viewing experience even in a metro like Hyderabad. And it's not like their ticket prices are low.
In the long run, single screens will go out of existence. Multiplexes will completely replace them, thanks to their quality and experience-centric approach. Asian Group has invested in new properties in collaboration with Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and Ravi Teja, among others.
