Celebrations mark Nandamuri Balakrishna's 65th birthday near Tirumala

Nandamuri Balakrishna's 65th birthday was celebrated with traditional fervor at Akhilandam, near the sacred hills of Tirumala. The event, organized by Telugu Desam Party State Media Coordinator B Sridhar Varma, drew a notable gathering of well-wishers and party members.

Sridhar Varma, speaking at the celebration, lauded Balakrishna's multifaceted contributions, highlighting his illustrious film career and his philanthropic endeavors. Varma specifically praised the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital for its exceptional medical services and unwavering commitment to public welfare.

The celebrations were marked by several significant rituals, creating a divine and festive atmosphere. A total of 650 coconuts were ceremoniously broken. This was followed by a grand harathi performed using 6.5 kilograms of camphor. Notable attendees joined in the celebrations.

Speaking at an event held in his cancer hospital in Hyderabad, Balakrishna spoke of his experience shooting for Akhanda 2. "We were in Georgia when the temperature was minus 4. It was bone-chilling, but I could withstand it because of Shiva's grace," Balakrishna said. Akhanda 2's Teaser was released yesterday.
