Sitaare Zameen Par is the title of Aamir Khan's upcoming theatrical release. Scheduled to hit the cinemas on June 20, its trailer was released on Tuesday evening.
Netizens are not enthused by Aamir's expressions in the trailer for the sports comedy. "The trailer is an epic letdown. As far as I am concerned, it fails to evoke emotion or build any real excitement. Aamir's expressions have been stuck at the same level since PK," Pintu Dera wrote. After Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir is playing a role with a comedic tilt, yet again.
Others, however, are waiting for the film to break out of the mold. "It's high time a soft-hearted film broke the box-office barrier and relieved us from the never-ending action fatigue," opined a social media user.
Sitaare Zameen Par is an adaptation of a Spanish movie named Champions, released in 2018. Five years later, an English-language remake of the same name directed by Bobby Farrelly was released. Produced by Aamir Khan himself, Sitaare Zameen Par has music composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. It is directed by RS Prasanna.
