ZEE5's recent Kannada original series, Ayyana Mane, has become the fastest-growing regional web series on the platform. It is now all set to stream in Telugu.
The Telugu version will make its debut on May 16.
The crime thriller, whose story spans six episodes, enjoys a 8.6 rating on IMDb. Helmed by Ramesh Indira, the series stars Kushee Ravi, Akshaya Nayak, and Manasi Sudheer in the main roles.
Kushee Ravi said that working for Ayyana Mane had been truly unforgettable. She added that portraying her character’s fear and resilience had been challenging yet so rewarding. She further mentioned that seeing it resonate with so many people crossing that milestone in such a short span was incredibly surreal. She noted that the love pouring in felt deeply personal and that she was soaking it all in with immense gratitude.
Set in 1990s Chikkamagaluru, the series is commended for its eerie, misty backdrop and cinematography by Rahul Roy. The use of diya-lit hallways, foggy hills, and ancestral estates creates a haunting vibe that enhances the suspense. The cultural integration of Daiva worship and regional folklore, popularized by films like Kantara, adds authenticity and intrigue.
