Arjun Reddy was first offered to Sharwanand. The actor declined the script because he was not comfortable with certain elements in it. In an interview a year after the movie's release, Sharwanand clarified that he did decline Arjun Reddy but that was not because of the kissing scenes in it. "I had done a kissing scene in Ko Ante Koti. I was uncomfortable with Arjun Reddy for some other reason. Even after the movie became a big hit, I didn't regret rejecting it. What is not meant for you is not yours," Sharwanand said.
Curiously, Oke Oka Jeevitham was first offered to Vijay Deverakonda. In his latest interview, Vijay commented that he loved the script and even offered to produce it. However, he changed his plan to act in the movie for some reason. Eventually, the script went Sharwanand's way. The movie remains one of the hits in Sharwa's career.
Arjun Reddy and Oke Oka Jeevitham just had a swap. Nobody would have wanted them to be done by anybody else other than Vijay Deverakonda and Sharwanand, respectively.
