Rana Naidu Season 2 is all set to premiere on Netflix from June 13. Its larger-than-life poster was released today at an event in Hyderabad. The second season marks the return of Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh. The story revolves around a clash between the characters played by Rana and Arjun Rampal.
“It’s bigger, and a whole lot more personal," said the Baahubali actor, saying that doing the second season has been a blasting experience. He added that the second season's content multiplies the positives of the first season.
Arjun Rampal credited director Karan Anshuman for helping him thoroughly. "The levity they brought to the character made it a very well-written and layered personality, whom I had a lot of fun playing," he said. Arjun added that Rana was an absolute delight to work with.
Also starring Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbanda, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Dino Morea, the web series is produced by Sunder Aaron and Locomotive Global. Created by Karan Anshuman and directed by him alongside Suparn S Varma, and Abhay Chopra, the show is written by its creator, Ryan Soares, Karmanya Ahuja, Ananya Mody, Karan Gour, and Vaibhav Vishal.
What was the first season of Rana Naidu all about? Rana, a fixer of the stars, excels at solving celebrity problems but struggles with his own fractured family life. His estranged father, Naga Naidu (Venkatesh), is released from prison after 15 years for a wrongful conviction and seeks to reconcile with Rana and his brothers while planning vengeance.
Actor Venkatesh was recently seen in Sankranthiki Vasthunam. His next project will be made official soon.
