Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film, The Girlfriend, has grossed over Rs 20.4 Cr worldwide within five days of its release. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the Telugu romance drama is presented by Allu Aravind and produced by the Dheeraj Mogilineni-Vidya Koppineedi duo.
The Pushpa 2 actress, who plays a timid lover girl in this coming-of-age drama, said that she was amazed by how deeply Rahul understood women’s emotions. Thanking Rahul for giving her the opportunity to essay Bhooma, the star heroine described Dheekshith Shetty as an exceptional actor. She further said that Hesham Abdul Wahab's music raised the level of the movie.
The Girlfriend is one of the most successful and critically-acclaimed female-led Telugu movies ever. It co-stars Rao Ramesh and Anu Emmanuel.
