KCR rumours sadden Rocking Rakesh

Rocking Rakesh has condemned the rumour that he was forced to produce KCR: Keshava Chandra Ramavath by K Chandrasekhar Rao himself. As per the unfounded gossip, motivated by political rivals, the film's failure bankrupted Rakesh but KCR didn't save him as promised.

Terming the rumour "cruel", Rakesh asked the media not to make money by publishing fake news.

The film was released in theatres after the December 2023 Assembly elections. "Had it been released ahead of the state elections, my motives would have been misunderstood. It's good that the release got delayed and it is coming out only after the elections. Otherwise, my movie would have been politicized," Rakesh told NTV during movie promotions last year.

Released in 2024, KCR was a drama film about a village person finding himself unawares in an urban setting. Directed by Anji and written by Rocking Rakesh himself, the film co-starred Annanya Krishnan, Tanikella Bharani and others.
