A restaurant named Deccan Kitchen, which was housed in a parcel of land allegedly owned by the Daggubati family in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills, was razed to the ground in 2023 by GHMC officials in the presence of police. Its proprietor, K Nandakumar, has since resorted to legal recourse. In 2024, Nandakumar filed a petition in the Nampally court. Following the petition, a case was filed against 'Victory' Venkatesh. Senior producer D Suresh Babu too is named. Actor Rana Daggubati and his brother Abhiram are also named.
The news is that the Nampally Court has held a hearing on the case. Consequently, it has ordered Venkatesh and the other three to appear in court on November 14th to submit their personal bonds.
As per the aggrieved party, the demolition that was worth crores of rupees was done against a previous city civil court directive. Expensive furniture was allegedly lifted during the demolition from the place.
