'Honey Trap', directed by Sunil Kumar Reddy, will release in theaters on September 17. Starring Rishi, Shilpa Nayak, Teju Anupoju, Siva Karthik and others, it is produced by VV Vamana Rao of Bharadwaj Cine Creations.
Speaking on the occasion, the director said that his 'Romantic Crime Katha' and 'Oka Criminal Prema Katha' were hits. "The story is by Vamana Rao garu. I wrote the dialogues besides directing the movie. Honey trapping is an international issue. The concept can give rise to 3-4 movies. We all read about honey trapping incidents in newspapers. Both men and women are its victims. Miss Vizag Shilpa and Teju have key roles in the movie. 'Lajja' movie hero Siva Danda has played a political role," the director said.
He added that he has scored hits and misses in his career. "Regardless of the result, I have done only the right kind of movies so far. "There is romance invariably in my movies. My award-winning movies 'Sontha Ooru' and 'Ganga Putrulu', too, had romance in them. There is romance in the Hindu culture but the influence of the Western culture has made us feel prudish about it. We are not open about it. My films have been lauded by cops for bringing out the truths boldly. 'Honey Trap' is a romantic thriller with amazing human emotions at its core."
Sunil Kumar will be doing three more movies next. 'Welcome To Tihar College' will question the education system. It is getting ready for a release. Another movie will be produced by Chadalavada Srinivas. It's a father-son story in the backdrop of Naxalism. The third movie will be produced by Bapiraju.
