Jagadguru Adi Shankara Triple Platinum Disc
JK Bharavi’s ‘Jagadguru Aadi Shankara’ starring Kaushik Babu in title role, Dr Manchu Mohan Babu, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Srihari, Sree Ramachandra, Sai Kumar and Suman in supporting roles is being produced by Nara Jaya Sridevi on Global Peace Creations banner. Nag Srivaths is rendering the music. The triple platinum disc event was held in Hyderabad on Saturday, the 10th of August. The movie is scheduled for release on August 15th. The unit members received the platinum discs from Srihari and Shanta Biotics Vara Prasad Reddy.
Later addressing the gathering Shanta Biotics Vara Prasad Reddy said, “I’ve no idea about Triple Platinum Disc. Lyrics, music and expression are the three beautiful things. All three persons related to this movie have become successful in this. Hence that could be the reason for celebrating the triple platinum disc. These mythological films are not meant only for the old but also for the young. Best examples are ‘Prahladhudu’ and ‘Markhandeyudu’. The story of this film is about Shankara Charya’s preaches at his age of 33. I wish to see more films from this genre in the near future. Films on ‘Vivekananda’ and ‘Chatrapathi Shivaji’ also must be made.”
Srihari said, “Bhargavi had been trying to tell this story for about an year. But I was not sure if he would be able to take up one such project. However, I called him back to say that I would do the film since the character offered to me haunted me.”
Uday Bhaskar said, “Aadi Shankara is the man who gathered all religions under one shade. His preachings are so memorable that could be followed by youth today.”
Nara Jaya Sridevi said, “I’m a Telugu born but settled in Karnataka. Bharavi narrated this story long ago but it was me who kept on postponing the project. However, I got commited to the film after listening to a song composed by the music director. Nagaraju is the main credit holder of this film. Many films which got delayed in the past have turned into hits. I hope our film will also be in the same list.”
Nagaraju said, “There are several slokas written by Aadi Shankara right from his childhood. I considered myself lucky for getting the opportunity to make a movie on his life history. Bharavi is not just the director but also the music director.”
Director Bharavi said, “I wish the film will become a big success and earn a good name to all of us. This film has become possible only due to our producer’s support.”
