Interview of Uday Shankar about 'Kshana Kshanam'

Uday Shankar awaits the release of 'Kshana Kshanam' on February 26. In this interview, the actor says that the film will have a stunning climax. He also talks about other aspects of the suspense thriller.

Although 'Aatagadhara Siva' and 'MisMatch' were good movies, they didn't do well. The former has been a most-viewed film on Amazon Prime, though. It would have been great had the film did well in theatres, too.

Pre-production works of 'Kshana Kshanam' began last June. The backdrop is Vizag. We did the indoor shoot in Hyderabad. The run-time is less than two hours. The film is crisp and to the point.

Producer Bunny Vasu garu has loved the movie, especially the climax. He told me he couldn't guess the climax. We are promoting the film in a big way. We are happy that Geetha Films of Bunny Vasu garu is releasing 'Kshana Kshanam'.

Some of the incidents in the male lead's life happened in my real life. When things don't fall into place and hopes get dashed, we face disappointment. The protagonist in this film is faced with an insurmountable problem. He also has got issues at home with his wife.

'Kshana Kshanam' is a catchy title. However, it's not a title for the sake of it. It is apt for the story. It's a dark comedy-thriller. The last 20 minutes will shock the audience. You will watch an unexpected climax.

Koti garu's son Roshan Salur has composed the music. It was the director's choice to rope him in. 'Nirmala Convent' had some very good work for him. He has been waiting for a break. Koti garu has played a key character in the movie. His stature is huge. Yet, he worked on his character and went into a different mood.

Working with producer Mouli garu was a great experience. But for them, we wouldn't have been able to complete the shoot during the peak of the pandemic. Crew members were 42 in number. We went to Vizag with loads of PPE kits, sanitizers and masks. Every hour, sanitization of the surface used to be done.

Frankly, I will get a chance to do my next movie only if 'Kshana Kshanam' becomes a hit. Although I am brilliant in Mathematics, I don't know a bit about the maths of cinema!
