The prestigious Nandi Film Awards for the year 2010 were presented on the auspicious day of Ugadi at Lalita Kala Thoranam in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was chief guest of this grand event. He, along with other political dignitaries gave away the awards to the winners. Nandamuri Balakrishna received his 2nd Nandi award in his career for his best performance in ‘Simha’. ‘Vedam’ received the Best Feature Film award and Nithya Menon as Best Actress in ‘Ala Modalaindi’. This apart, Urvashi Sharada received the prestigious NTR National award, M Balaiah received another prestigious award, the ‘Raghupathy Venkaiah’ award, and AVM Saravanan Balasubrahmaniam received the Nagireddy-Chakrapani award.
