Shankar will apparently return to direct Rajnikanth once again after his current film ‘I’ (Manoharudu in Telugu) featuring Vikram. The upcoming film is most likely to begin in mid 2014 and hit screens worldwide in the end of 2015 or early 2016. Sources claim that Rajnikanth has given his nod to Shankar. The duo earlier delivered two blockbusters - ‘Shivaji’ and ‘Robo’ and are keen to work together for a hattrick hit. A source also claims that Rajnikanth is eager to rope in Aishwarya Rai for this film once again and that Aish is also giving positive signs to accept this film.
According to the source, since Rajnikanth-Aishwarya Rai chemistry has worked out well in ‘Robo’ (Endhiran), Aish was approached earlier for a film in Rajnikanth-K V Anand combination last year. Unfortunately that film did not materialize. Nonetheless Rajni gave a green signal to Shankar recently and still wanted Aish to be his co-star. However let's wait for the official confirmation.
