Actress Anjali will appear in Chennai High Court on July 9th. The court called the upcoming successful actress for the hearing of case.

In April, Anjali alleged that her stepmom Bharati Devi and director Kalanjiyam have been torturing her and disappeared thereafter for three days. Following accusation by Anjali, Bharati Devi filed Habeas Corpus petition with Chennai High Court to trace Anjali and bring her back. In the petition she had mentioned, “Anjali left home on 8 April informing that she was going for a film shooting in Hyderabad. But later, she went missing from a hotel where she stayed for the film shoot. I filed complaint with police commissioner that she has been kidnapped by antisocial elements. But the police did not take further action. Hence Anjali should be traced and presented in the court.”

Bharati Devi’s petition came for hearing in presence of two magistrates as C T Selvam and V Dhanabalan. Later lawyer Thambidurai, who appeared on behalf of the government argued, “Anjali appeared before Hyderabad police and clarified that no one has kidnapped her. Therefore it is not necessary to present her in the court.”

Bharati Devi’s lawyer Jayaprakash argued: “After Anjali left her home on April 8th, no one was aware of her where about. It has come to light that she is in clutches of some unidentified people. Anjali had already allocated call-sheets for few films for which Bharati Devi received the advance money and is in unanswerable situation. So Anjali has to be presented in the court.”

The magistrate issued order to the police to present Anjali in court on July 9th after hearing arguments from both sides.

Anjali has just started her career in Telugu with two back-to-back hits ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ and ‘Balupu’. So let’s wish all goes well for this talented actress.
