Kumar Nagendra on ‘Tuntari'

80% of the present directors, who are being introduced to the Telugu film industry, relay on regular and repetitive scripts of hit formulas. But, people will remember the director who come up with new ideas and innovative scripts. Director Kumar Nagendra, who has debuted as director through a perfect Telugu and different heart touching script ‘Gundello Godari’, was successful in touching the hearts of Telugu audience. Even though, he has done just two film, with his talent and hard work, he is successful in grabbing good attention of the audience for his third film ‘Tuntari’.

Nara Rohith, who is rising high with back to back films like ‘Banam’, ‘Solo’, ‘Sarocharu’, ‘Prathinidhi’ and ‘Rowdy Fellow’ with his own style, is playing the lead role in this film. The film, an official remake of Tamil smash hit ‘Maan Karate’, has its story penned by popular filmmaker AR Murugadoss. New Zealand belle Latha Hegde is playing the female lead opposite Nara Rohith. Kumar Nagendra of ‘GundelloGodari’ and ‘Joru’ fame is directing the film that also features Kabir Singh, Ali and Vennela Kishore in important roles. Ashok Baba and Nagarjuna are producers.

Recently released first teaser has got tremendous response. Nara Rohith’s look, fun and impressive shots and plot are increasing the expectations on the film. Kumar Nagendra has revealed some unknown facts regarding Nara Rohith during a press meet. Those have created extra craze to the film.

“There are few sequences of kickboxing in the first teaser. With that teaser everyone is thinking that it’s a serious kickboxing film. But, it is not the case. It is just a sub plot. It’s an out and out RomCom. The emotional touch in the climax will keep the audience engaged. Nara Rohith will be seen as a happy and cool going guy. His character has good scope for comedy. His comedy timing will leave audience in splits. He has shed 6 Kgs to look slimmer. This film with tight screenplay and gripping narration will be a sure shot hit,” said Kumar Nagendra.

Right now post-production works are in progress. Sai Karthik has given music. The film unit is planning to release the film in March. The statement that is apt for this film is ‘Hard work Vs Destiny’. To know the destiny of Nara Rohith and Kumar Nagendra’s hard work we have to wait for few more days.
