Former actress Navneet Kaur-Rana, who is an Independent Member of Parliament from Maharashtra, has contracted the novel coronavirus. Her husband Ravi Rana, who is an Independent MLA, too, has tested positive.
Not just the husband-wife duo but also about 12 of their family members and staff members have got infected. Among those infected are their daughter and son. All infected individuals have isolated themselves and are under medical observation.
Navneet has previously acted in Telugu films such as 'Yama Donga', 'Maharadhi', 'Ranam' and 'Niryanam'. In last year's General Elections, she contested as an independent from Amravati and won.
