'Aranya', starring Rana Daggubati and Vishnu Vishal, will release on 2nd April this year. The Tamil version 'Kaadan' and Hindi version, 'Haathi Mere Saathi', will also release on the same day. Prabhu Solomon is the director of this adventure drama, produced by Eros International.

The film has been making good buzz and what surprised people the most is the 'massive transformation' of Rana Daggubati for the role of Bandey. The 'Baahubali' actor has lost over 30 kilos for the role and it was not easy for him as he had to undergo extensive training and followed a strict diet for the role. He will be seen sporting a heavy beard, grey hair and will have a tilted shoulder throughout the film.
Talking about his transformation, Rana says, "Prabhu sir wanted everything to be real and organic. Losing all the weight was very difficult for me as I've always been a guy with a big physique. To get the lead look for the role of Bandey, I had to undergo extensive physical training. It has been a wonderful learning experience for me".

"'Aranya' is based on the unfortunate event of humans encroaching the elephant corridors in Kaziranga, Assam. Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of a man who dedicated most of his life living in the jungle with the sole purpose of protecting the animals inhabiting it", say the makers. Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain will be seen in important roles in this movie.
