The Hindi remake of 'Jersey' is out of the year-end race. The film, starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead, will not be released in theatres on December 31. It has been postponed indefinitely.

The postponement is due to the Omicron scare. The situation is bad in Maharashtra, where the 50% occupancy limit has been in force for the past few days. In Delhi, cinema halls and multiplexes have been shut down with immediate effect from Tuesday. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has issued a Yellow Alert.

The postponement of 'Jersey' has sent ripples across the film industries, especially down South. The film industry as a whole has been keeping a close watch on the developments.
