R Narayana Murthy's 'Rythanna' gears up for release

People's Star R Narayana Murthy is acting and directing in a film titled 'Rythanna', which has completed its Censor formalities. Announcing its theatrical release, Murthy today met the press in the presence of farmers' leaders. The event was graced by former Agriculture Minister Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao, Congress party leader Kodanda Redd, CPI leaders Chada Venkat Reddy, CPM leader Madhu, TRS leader Srinivasa Reddy, balladeer Gaddar, MLC Goreti Venkanna, poet Andhesri, farmers' leaders Venkata Ramayya, Malla Reddy, Govardhan, farmers' leader Sagar and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Murthy said, "SPB garu and Vangapandu Prasada Rao garu have sung in our film. We demand that the Centre roll back agri laws. Our film talks about the state of the farmers. Farmers are the most backward community in India."

Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao said, "This film shows how the farmers will be negatively impacted by the reforms brought out by the Modi government. I demand that the Swaminathan Commission's recommendations be implemented."

Venkata Reddy said, "The Modi government is hoodwinking the farmers. The Prime Minister is privatizing everything. I thank Murthy for making this sensible film."

Kodanda Reddy said, "The two-hour film has got the right message. It's essential that the farmers across the country stand up and speak in one voice."

Srinivas Reddy said voiced his opinion against the agri bills. Gaddar said, "Narayana Murthy is standing by the philosophy he believes in. 'Rythanna' talks about the issues faced by the farmers in a clear-cut manner."
