On Saturday, after weeks of suspense, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu broke the news that they are heading for a separation. In their common statement, posted separately on their respective social media pages, the star couple said that they have decided to part ways to chart their own separate paths.
"We have decided to part ways after much deliberation and thought," the duo added.
They touched upon their decade-long friendship in the statement, suggesting that the special bond between them will always be special.
"We request our fans, well-wishers and media to support us during the difficult time. Give us the privacy we need to move on," they added.
The duo got married in 2017 in a grand way. They had been in love for a few years before their marriage. Recently, when Sam dropped 'Akkineni' from her Twitter account, many said that it was a hint of her divorcing Chay.
