'Mr. Premikudu', starring Prabhu Deva, Adah Sharma, and Nikki Galrani, will be released in theatres on October 29. The film is a dubbed version of 'Charlie Chaplin-2' (Tamil). Presented by Sri Tarakarama Pictures' MV Krishna, the film is produced by V Srinivasa Rao and Gurram Mahesh Chowdary.
At a presser on Tuesday, the makers projected the film as a comedy entertainer. Speaking on the occasion Prasanna Kumar said, "Mahesh Chowdary and Srinivasa Rao garu have distributed a number of movies in Vizag. I am glad that they have now turned producers. Since 'Charlie Chaplin-2' has a strong Telugu nativity, many had tried to remake it in Telugu. It has got all the right ingredients. Besides Prabhu Deva's superb performance, the glamour quotient is awesome. I am confident that 'Mr. Premikudu' fetches profits for the producers and all other stakeholders."
Distributor Muthyala Ramdas said, "Recent dubbed movies have done really well in Telugu. I hope 'Mr. Premikudu' too joins the league." Distributor Gopal, too, wished the producers all the best and expressed confidence in the material.
The producers have got the dubbing done without compromising on quality. "It's almost like a straight Telugu movie. Even the songs are superb. We hope the movie turns out to be as big a hit in Telugu as it was in Tamil. The scenes in the second half are especially going to stand out," the producers said.
Directed by Shakti Chidambaram, the film also features Prabhu, Vivek Prasanna, Aravind Akash, and others. With music by Amresh Ganesh and cinematography by Soundarrajan, the film is an action-comedy.
