Taapsee Pannu's new movie to flop due to GST on paneer!

'Dobaaraa' (Hindi) is hitting the cinemas today. Starring Taapsee Pannu as Antara Bhatt, the mystery drama is based on a novel. "A woman gets an opportunity to save the life of a 12-year-old boy who witnessed a death during a thunderstorm which happened 25 years ago by getting connected through a television set during a similar storm in the present," says the film's synopsis on Wikipedia.

Trade analysts are of the view that Taapsee is going to score yet another flop. There is no buzz around the film and, on top of that, competition from 'Karthikeya 2' is also strong at the moment.

The film's director, Anurag Kashyap, has already given up. In a recent interview, he came up with a weird theory to explain why films are flopping big-time in Bollywood. As per him, people are paying GST on even paneer and therefore, they don't have money. "The main problem is that people do not have the money. You are paying GST on paneer. You are paying GST on your food," Kashyap has been quoted as saying. This is as funny as it gets.

Looks like, at this rate, Taapsee can calmly blame GST for her career setbacks.
