Key issues that have been plaguing the Telugu film industry have been nearly resolved since August 1. The final round of deliberations involving stakeholders like producers, distributors and exhibitors are currently going on and they will be over by the end of this month.

The film shoots will be resumed from September 1.

Many producers have been desperately waiting for the ongoing strike to come to an end, because they have invested huge monies on film sets. In order to ease the burden on them, special permissions will be accorded to let them resume shoots from August 25.

On VPF issue:

The Virtual Print Fee issue has been a bone of contention. Dil Raju, one of the prominent exhibitors running about 50 screens, today said that he will be bearing the VPF costs himself. Besides him, UV (with 50 screens), NV Prasad and Geetha exhibitors (30 to 40 screens) have also decided to make life easy for distributors and producers by bearing the burden themselves.

There are about 1800 screens in the Telugu States.

Ticket rates, snacks costs:

The cost of snacks will be made affordable, Raju said. Ticket rates will follow a slab system when big-budget movies come out. Any hike in such cases is going to be minimal.
