Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, others condole Ramesh Babu's demise

Former actor Ramesh Babu on Saturday night passed away at the age of 56 due to liver-related health issues. The untimely demise has saddened the film fraternity.

Pawan Kalyan mourned the passing away of Mahesh Babu's brother and extended his profound sympathies. "He carried forward the acting legacy of his father, Superstar Krishna, besides producing huge movies like 'Arjun' with Mahesh Babu as the hero," Power Star said.

Megastar Chiranjeevi took to Twitter and said that he is shocked and deeply saddened by the demise of the former actor. "My heartfelt condolences to Shri.Krishna garu, Mahesh and all the family members. May the Almighty give strength to the family to cope with the tragic loss," he wrote. Victory Venkatesh wrote, "Extremely shocked and saddened by the demise of Ramesh babu Gaaru. My sincere condolences to Mahesh and all the family members. May his soul rest in peace."

Announcing the demise, the Ghattamaneni family on Saturday night issued a statement saying, "It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Ramesh Babu garu. He will continue to live on in our hearts forever. We request all our well-wishers to adhere to the COVID norms and avoid gathering at the cremation venue."

The mortal remains of Ramesh have been placed at the Padmavati Studios for friends, relatives and fans to pay last respects. The last rites will be held later on Sunday.
