Big! Chiranjeevi blames directors for mechanical performances

Megastar Chiranjeevi has delivered a truth bomb. Speaking at an event of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' on Sunday, the legendary actor remarked that a lot of filmmakers write dialogues on set just before canning a scene.

"When I ask for my lines before giving a shot, I am told the director is penning the lines. Meanwhile, I grow tense. They serve tiffin but my mind is preoccupied with worrying about what lines I might be given. They serve dialogues hot. Where is the time for the actor to own the lines? Actors should be given adequate time to digest the lines and deliver them thoughtfully. If not, they will deliver mechanically," Chiru said, adding that some directors like SS Rajamouli work diligently day and night to get everything right well in advance. "There needs to be a changing in thinking," the 'Acharya' star said.

He drew a contrast with how Aamir Khan does it. The final copy of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' was readied months ago.

Chiru blaming our directors must trigger a discussion in Tollywood. If a senior like him is finding it hard to cope with the indiscipline, imagine the plight of small actors.
