A special show of 'Nuvve Nuvve' was screened at a multiplex in Hyderabad on Monday to celebrate the 20th year of the romantic family comedy-drama. The film marked Trivikram's directorial debut.

Speaking on the occasion, the 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' maker spoke at length about how his association with producer 'Sravanthi' Ravikishore used to be in the early days of his career. "When 'Nuvve Kavali' was still in the making, I narrated the story of 'Nuvve Nuvve' to Ravikishore garu. He immediately opened his chequebook and gave me some money, which was the equivalent of the remuneration I had received for writing the yet-to-be-released 'Nuvve Kavali'. I won't forget the fearless confidence the producer had in me. With the money I received, I bought a bike," Trivikram recalled.

He also spoke about how Ravikishore was there when the 1999 Malayalam movie 'Niram' was remade as 'Nuvve Kavali' and when 'Nuvvu Naku Nacchav' was taken up. "Ravikishore garu is the one person who recognized the writer and director in me more than I could," Trivikram added.

"Making a film like 'Nuvve Nuvve' was a process we all enjoyed a lot. I got a high while composing a song with Tarun," Trivikram said.

Actor Tarun said, "It has been 20 years since the movie got released. To this day, I watch 'Nuvve Nuvve' when I feel bored. I got to do three movies with Sravanthi Movies - 'Nuvve Kavali', 'Nuvve Nuvve', and 'Ela Cheppanu!'. My first film as a male lead had dialogues written by Trivikram garu. And I was the hero of his first film as a director."

Shriya Saran said, "The director and the producer met me in Delhi to narrate the script. I loved it totally and was in a state of disbelief that I was being cast as the heroine. Tarun is a sweet co-star. Prakash Raj garu is like my father."

Prakash Raj said that 'Nuvve Nuvve' wouldn't have been possible without everyone's efforts. He recalled that his portions in 'Nuvvu Naku Nachav' (also produced by Ravikishore) were shot after a ban on him was lifted. "Such was the trust they reposed in me," the actor added.
