Senior producer Allu Aravind today launched 'Thandel', Naga Chiatanya's first proper pan-Indian movie, under Geetha Arts. The launch event in Hyderabad was a grand one with Victory Venkatesh and Akkineni Nagarjuna in attendance as guests. Chay's pair, Sai Pallavi, was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Geetha Arts supremo appreciated director Chandoo Mondeti for sticking to the project. Apparently, 'Thandel' was formalized before 'Kartikeya 2'. Despite 'Kartikeya 2' becoming a blockbuster, Mondeti didn't abandon the project in favour of some other bigger offer. "Rajamouli garu is another director who is known to honour his word in this way," Aravind added.
Rajamouli was committed to doing films for DVV Danayya ('RRR') and KL Narayana (Mahesh Babu's film). And despite the 'Baahubali' movies making him an icon, he stuck to his promise.
Aravind in June this year blamed director Parasuram Petla for doing 'Family Star' with Vijay Deverakonda and Dil Raju after allegedly taking advance from Geetha Arts. At today's 'Thandel' event, Aravind took a sly dig at the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' maker.
