'Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi', described by its director Srinivas Avasarala as an emotionally driven film with no twists and turns, is set to be released in theatres on March 17. On Monday, its title track, shot on Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair, was released.

The playful song, rendered by Dhanunjay and Nutana Mohan, has been penned by Bhaskarbhatla Ravikumar. The lyricist said that the song is about the first meeting between the lead pair and the range of moods that they experience. The progression of their relationship and its dynamics are brought out.

Kalyani Malik is happy that the first song, 'Kanula Chaatu Meghama', has so far amassed more than one million views.

The makers are confident that the coming-of-age love story will work with the audience. "The story of 'PAPA' spans a period of 10 years and comprises seven chapters. The lead pair start their journey together when they are 18. The story concludes with them reaching 28," the director recently said in an interview.
