'Salaar' is scheduled to hit the cinemas on December 22. The film will have a massive release in the Telugu States. The buzz is that Rs 175 Cr is the value of the theatrical rights for the movie in AP and Telangana put together. Mythri Movie Makers recently entered into a deal with Hombale Films regarding the tentpole movie's release in Nizam.
The film's release is 50 days away. On Thursday, the movie team revealed something interesting about the spectacular nature of the action episodes. It was revealed that as many as 750 different vehicles (read jeeps, tanks, trucks, among others) were procured for the shoot of a number of on-ground action scenes in the movie.
The monstrous scale of the procurement and deployment of hundreds of vehicles lends the film a distinct Hollywood-ish scale.
The actioner stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role. Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and others are part of the cast. AnbAriv, who worked with Neel on the 'KGF' films, are its action directors. 'Salaar' has got music by Ravi Basrur.
