Dil Raju gives a bumper offer to Tollywood film critics

Can film critics, who rate movies, be good judges? That's the question Dil Raju is asking. At a film event on Monday, the star producer had an interesting proposal to film critics.

"A film becomes a super hit if seven out of ten audience members say it is very good. What the other three say doesn't matter. If I were to show ten film critics the script of my upcoming movie and seek their opinion before I take the film to the floors, will they be game for it? Are film critics up for it, considering it is their job to judge movies?" the supremo of Sri Venkateswara Creations asked.

The proposal is quite interesting. This has a precedent. Director Sudha Kongara showed the script of Suriya's 'Aakasame Haddhu Ra' to the celebrated film critic Baradwaj Rangan before she shot the film. Seeking the vote of a bunch of film critics would be a good idea. If Dil Raju executes the plan and scores success with such an attempt, the practice could become a trend. However, the makers run the risk of plot leaks.
