'Maama Mascheendra', starring Sudheer Babu in three roles (as a don, a fatso and a DJ), will hit the cinemas on October 6. The film's trailer was launched today digitally by Mahesh Babu. Parasuram, a don, seemingly deceives his sister. The sister's sons, who look much like their maternal uncle, grow up and sweep Parasuram's two daughters (played by Mrinalini Ravi and Eesha Rebba) off their feet. A paranoid Parasuram wonders if his nephews are playing a mind game with him by emotionally manipulating his daughters in the name of love.

Speaking at the event, director Harshavardhan of 'Amrutham' fame said that his journey in the film industry began 25 years ago. "And 'MM' is my first movie as a director. This is the day I have been waiting for. I have made this film responsibly, keeping in view the audience's demanding tastes. There are twists and relatable characters as well," he added.

Sudheer Babu predicted that Harshavardhan would become a top director. "We waited for five years for this collaboration. Parasuram, Durga and DJ are my three characters in the movie. Parasuram uses the Rayalaseema dialect and weighs 80 kg; I put on weight for this character. Durga appears to be 110 kg. I didn't put on weight for that rowdy-type character. When I told Mahesh Babu about the role, he advised me not to try gaining that much weight. Durga uses the Uttarandhra slang. The DJ uses the Telangana slang and is a one-woman guy. Parasuram is a character with grey shades but he is an ideal father," he said.

The film has music by Chaitan Bharadwaj. Produced by Narayan Das K Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, the film is a comedy thriller drama.
