'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' stars Nani in the role of a supposed vigilante who goes uncontrollably berserk on Saturdays. DVV Entertainments is producing this August 29th release. Actor SJ Suryah is playing a maniacal, violent cop in the movie.

In his latest interview, SJ Suryah revealed that Nani's character, as a child, makes a promise to his mother. "He shows aggressive tendencies as a child. To control him, his mother asks him to supress his anger from Sunday to Friday and release it only on Saturdays. So, he is Manikyam on other days and Basha on Saturdays," Suryah said, referring to Rajinikanth's 'Basha' just like that.

While Suryah's description doesn't emphasize a mother-son bond, the maternal angle could be a pivotal aspect of the film.

Nani's 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram', co-starring Priyanka Arul Mohan and Sai Kumar, has music by Jakes Bejoy. It is directed by Vivek Athreya.
