Varun Tej, who has scored mega-flops in the form of 'Ghani', 'Gandeevadhari Arjuna', 'Operation Valentine' and 'Matka', has been trying out a variety of genres. The action genre has failed him time and again.
He is now opting for a horror-comedy, a minimum guarantee genre to an extent. His film with 'Express Raja' director Merlapaka Gandhi is reportedly gonna be a horror-comedy. UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments are jointly producing this movie, to be shot from the summer of 2025.
Horror-comedies are usually relied upon only by actresses and comedy artists. Prabhas, despite being a pan-Indian hero, is doing a romantic horror comedy with Maruthi (read 'The Raja Saab'). And now, Varun Tej is doing a horror comedy. If the scale of the movie is large enough, the genre would suit anybody.
