Allu Arjun on Friday night announced that he will be giving Rs 25 lakhs to the family of the female victim who died on the premises of a single screen theatre in Hyderabad in a stampede. The woman, named Revathi, was there to watch 'Pushpa 2' with her husband and her 9-year-old son. The child sustained severe injuries in the stampede.
Bunny said that he came to know about the stampede the next morning. The woman died on Thursday morning, hours after the Wednesday night stampede, the actor said.
"Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey," Allu Arjun tweeted.
The National Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of the stampede. Allu Arjun and his security team have been booked.
