Actor and MAA President Manchu Vishnu today made an appeal to the members of the Association not to express their opinions on the ongoing Allu Arjun arrest-and-bail issue. He suggested that it is better for everyone to keep mum at a time when the law is taking its own course. He added that speaking anything out of turn might actually put the individual (Bunny) in trouble.
Vishnu's statement didn't invoke Allu Arjun's name, though. His statement also added that the film industry will always have cordial relations with the government. He briefly mentioned the role played by Chief Minister Marri Chenna Reddy to help Tollywood form a base in Hyderabad decades ago.
The statement underlines Vishnu's cautious approach at a time when his father, Mohan Babu, runs the risk of being arrested in the journalist assault case. In recent days, celebrities such as Nani and Sharwanand have criticized the Revanth Reddy government over the manner in which Allu Arjun was arrested.
