Drinker Sai hits the cinemas on December 27. A pre-release press meet was held today in Hyderabad.
Hero Dharma said that their producers had made Drinker Sai with great passion. He explained that even though they knew the success rate of such films was low, they had produced it without compromise, believing in the story. He added that the entire team had worked not for money but out of love for the film. He stated that he had come into the industry to become a hero, and that he would live and die as a hero. He affirmed that he would keep striving to become one because that was his dream. He acknowledged that the audience would come to theaters only if the trailer and teaser of small films were good, explaining that no matter how much they requested, the audience wouldn't come unless they liked the trailer. He mentioned that he was a big fan of Prabhas and that despite knowing how busy he was, when he (Dharma) met him, Prabhas had wished them all the best and sincerely wished for the success of Drinker Sai.
Director Kiran Tirumalasetti said that he had great respect for review writers. He stated that if they didn't like their movie, Drinker Sai, they could give it a zero rating, but if it moved them even a little, they should give it a 3. He expressed his hope that they would support their movie and confidently predicted that Dharma would definitely win the Best Debut Actor Award, citing his exceptional performance. He requested the audience that if they liked the movie, they should tell ten people, and if they didn't, they should tell a hundred. He clarified that it was not a movie made for commercial elements; they had believed in a story and made it with sincerity. He added that the movie was entertaining from the beginning. Finally, he assured them that in the climax, they would experience 40 minutes of deep writing.
Cinematographer Prashanth Ankireddy said that the film's technicians have been given their due during the promotional events over the past few weeks. "We have seen this film multiple times, and you can watch it with your family," he added. Choreographer Moin spoke of the director's support. "Heroine Aishwarya immediately grasped the steps, and Dharma worked hard," he added.
Music director Sree Vasanth spoke of director Kiran's dedication, adding that he asked his wife to stay away from him during the making of the film. He is confident that the 'word of mouth' is going to take the film to places.
Producer Ismail Shaik spoke of the film's enjoyable music and Chandra Bose’s "wonderful" lyrics. "The audience response to the lead pairing has been positive. I particularly like the character of Drinker Sai, who brings a lot of energy to the screen. The film offers a mix of emotions," he said.
Heroine Aishwarya Sharma said that the film will always be special. She suggested that the movie and its hero will always remain special to her because it is her debut movie and Dharma is her maiden male co-star.
