Communist Party of India (CPI) national secretary K Narayana today alleged that Rashmika Mandanna was not interested in doing the mass song, Peelings, in Pushpa 2. The political leader accused the makers of the movie of compelling her to perform in it. He alleged that the film industry is a place where women are exploited.
But did Rashmika really say that she was coerced or forced by the director of the film? Not at all. She merely stated that her phobia for being lifted made her uncomfortable. She made it clear that she did the song because she trusted Sukumar and Allu Arjun. And she has no regrets for doing 'Peelings'.
"If I start overthinking or isolating my roles, I would be typecasting myself. I am here to do my job, and I work to hear the word ‘excellent’ from my director. That’s what matters to me," Rashmika recently said in the context of Peelings.
K Narayana has demanded that the makers of Pushpa 2 must hand over Rs 5 Cr to the family of Revathi, who died in the Sandhya Theatre stampede.
