People Media Factory has announced two movies with Kannada star heroes. The banner's 47th movie will star Srii Murali of Bagheera and Ugram fame as the hero. Its 49th movie will be starring Golden Star Ganesh in the lead. While these two actors are not known to the Telugu audience, they have a base in Karnataka.
The banner is increasingly exploring options outside Tollywood. With the turnaround time of Telugu movies increasing drastically, it is not easy to get projects firmed up here. Also, the big-screen experience fever has rendered medium and small movies unattractive in Telugu. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad has been wanting to explore options outside Telugu for years. He is also co-producing Sunny Deol's Jaat.
The banner is currently also producing two rare-genre movies. 'Mirai' led by Teja Sajja and 'Mowgli' led by Roshan Kanakala belong to atypical genres. 'Mirai' is a superhero movie directed by Karthik Gattamneni of Ravi Teja's 'Eagle' fame. For all we know, producer TG Vishwa Prasad is planning to release the movie simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Chinese languages in the Summer of 2025. 'Mowgli' is a forest-based love story directed by Sandeep Raj of 'Colour Photo' fame. It was launched recently.
People Media Factory's plans to expand further will depend on the success of Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab'.
