Ahead of the theatrical release of the "mad max marriage entertainer" 'Darling' on July 19, the makers have unveiled a Release Trailer.
There was a time when the Release Trailer used to be a league ahead of the regular Trailer. The makers used to pay extra attention to its content if they felt that the buzz for their movie had to go up 3-5 days before the theatrical release of their movie. Recently, the Release Trailer for 'Kalki 2898 AD' was released with this in mind.
A Release Trailer needs to offer something more in terms of feel. The Release Trailer for 'Darling', on the other hand, more or less repeats what we have already seen in the regular trailer. It is pointless.
On top of being pointless, it is also noisy. Priyadarshi and Nabha Natesh have visibly played over-the-top roles in the romantic entertainer.
The film features a roster of comedians, including Brahmanandam. The Release Trailer should have shown them in such a way that there is hope.
