Re-release date of 'Bommarillu' announced!

'Bommarillu', the romantic comedy family drama film originally released in theatres in 2006, is up for re-release in theatres. The film will head to theatres on September 21.

"A film that never fades. We are coming back to recreate the joy," Sri Venkateswara Creations wrote on social media, announcing the date.

Directed and co-written by debutant Bhaskar, the film is headlined by Siddharth and Genelia. Also starring Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Sunil, Kota Srinivasa Rao and others, its music was by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography was by Vijay C Chakravarthy. The blockbuster movie was edited by Marthand K Venkatesh.

'Bommarillu' secured a number of Nandi and Filmfare Awards. Dil Raju, Baskhar, Prakash Raj, Abburi Ravi, Genelia and dubbing artist Savitha Reddy won Nandis. On the commercial front, it was one of the highest grossing Telugu films of 2006. The climax sequences, especially Siddharth's monologue venting out his frustration before his father, was an iconic scene.
