Odela 3: Who on earth wants it?

The climax of Odela 2 gives a lead to the third edition. To put it in respectable language, the epilogue is so dumb that a college-goer will be able to discover the idiocy of it in a jiffy. A school-goer will find it impossible to be thrilled by it. It's astonishing that Sampath Nandi, with years of experience as a filmmaker, deemed it fit. He is the film's writer.

The good news is that Odela 3 might never be made because Odela 2 is most probably ending up as a commercial disaster. The latest box-office release presents no unanswered questions that can keep the viewer invested in a third installment.

In recent years, films like Ravi Teja's Ramarao On Duty, Pedda Kapu, and Ram Pothineni's Skanda promised sequels. All three movies were disasters, effectively killing the prospects for a sequel. The audience are increasingly getting frustrated with forced elements in the climax in the name of making sequels.
