The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) has announced that Vijay Deverakonda will serve as the Grand Marshal for the 43rd edition of the World's Biggest India Day Parade in New York City. The grand event, which is expected to draw an estimated 600,000 attendees, will be held on August 17 along Madison Avenue, starting at 12 PM.

The Kingdom actor expressed his honor at being chosen for the role and shared his excitement about celebrating India’s Independence Day with the Indian and Telugu communities in the US. The parade, known as the largest India Day Parade in the world, will be held under the unifying theme of "Sarve Bhavanthu Sukino," a Sanskrit phrase that translates to "May all be happy." The day's celebrations will begin with a solemn tribute to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack and the Ahmedabad plane crash.

Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming movies, directed by Rahul Sankrityan and Ravi Kiran Kola, will be looking at extraordinary openings. He is also one of the few southern Indian actors to be acting in movies produced by leading banners, back to back.
