Bollywood heroes Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have reunited, and the production of their film is officially underway. Their new film, a new-age thriller titled Haiwaan, began its regular shooting schedule today in Kochi under the direction of the acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan.
The film marks a significant collaboration, with the two actors sharing screen space after 17 years. Both Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan took to social media to share their excitement about the project, which is being produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. Following the initial shooting in Kochi, production will move to Ooty and Mumbai.
Haiwaan is being made with a commitment to high-end production values, overseen by producers Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn.
In his recent filmography, Akshay Kumar has maintained a prolific presence on screen. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira are among his recent releases. Khel Khel Mein and Singham Again are also popular in his filmography. Saif Ali Khan, meanwhile, has been seen in diverse roles, with his recent work including the 2023 film Adipurush and the 2022 action thriller Vikram Vedha. He also played Jr NTR's antagonist in Devara last year. KVN Productions is currently making Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan, Yash's Toxic, and MEGA 158.
