A new list of Indian heroes with the most number of films grossing over Rs 500 crore worldwide has been put out by trade analyst Daily Culture. According to updated data, the list is topped by Aamir Khan and Prabhas.
Aamir Khan's films in the Rs 500 crore club primarily includes Dangal, his biggest hit to date. Prabhas, on the other hand, owes his standing to the phenomenal success of the Baahubali franchise, with both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion being major contributors. His recent films Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD come next.
Hot on their heels are Salman Khan and Rajinikanth, both of whom now boast three films in the Rs 500 crore club. 2.0 and Jailer are the first two such movies in Rajini's career, while Coolie is the third one. Coolie was written off after the first Monday drop at the box office. However, it didn't totally collapse and registered good revenues in its second week.
Following this group are Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, each with two films that have crossed the Rs 500 crore mark. SRK achieved this feat with his 2023 mega-hits Pathaan and Jawan, while Ranbir Kapoor's remarkable performances in Sanju and Animal have earned him a spot on this prestigious list.
