It is known that Tamil actor Ravi Mohan is making his debut as a producer with a slapstick, youthful, quirky entertainer named Bro Code. Directed by Karthik Yogi, the film will feature the producer himself as the hero. Arjun Ashokan and SJ Suryah will feature in primary roles. Harshavardhan Rameshwar of Animal fame is its music director. Sri Gouri Priya, Jersey fame Shraddha Srinath, and Malavika Manoj are part of the cast.
Ravi Mohan Studios, the actor's banner, was launched recently at an event in Chennai. Sivakarthikeyan, Karthi, Genelia, Riteish Deshmukh and others graced the occasion as guests. The Ponniyin Selvan and Thani Oruvan actor will be wielding the megaphone for one of the movies under his own banner. Yogi Babu will be its hero. The star comedian revealed that Ravi Mohan had given him a word six years back.
"Cinema is not just entertainment, it’s an emotion for millions. My fans have always been my biggest strength, and it is because of them that I’ve reached this stage," the new producer on the block said, adding that floating a banner was always his biggest dream. Through this, he aims to introduce talented filmmakers and writers. He hinted that OTT content will also be coming out from Ravi Mohan Studios.
Speaking on the occasion, Sathyam Sundaram and Sardar 2 actor Karthi recalled when and how he first knew Ravi Mohan, formerly known as Jayam Ravi. He described Ravi as a person brimming with energy, adding that his turning into a producer is something he didn't see coming! Kannada star Dr. Shivarajkumar described him as a "wonderful person".
Sivakarthikeyan, whose Madharaasi will hit the cinemas soon, expressed hope that Ravi Mohan's fledgling banner will unveil new-age stories.
